Castell Coch is famous for its spectacular interiors. I’ve decided to illustrate the stencils, murals and patterns that decorate Cardiff’s iconic Gothic Revival landmark.
Part 1 and Part 2 of this series have already featured some beautiful designs.

Lady Bute’s Bedroom
The first patterns I’ve recreated for this instalment are prominent in Lady Bute’s bedroom. The upper section features these rose and sun designs.

The lower section is a grid made up of these simple geometric shapes.

Lady Margaret’s Bedroom
These tile patterns can be found in Lady Margaret’s bedroom. Several rooms have flooring using these tiles in various arrangements.

The Drawing Room

This blue flower design is from the fireplace in the drawing room.

The design is used in this old display board from 2018 that also uses the shape of the arches from the drawing room.
