I’ve been writing about Castell Coch for about 8 years so I thought it was about time I created a dedicated website for the memorabilia, stories and images that I’ve collected.
I’m going to focus on four main areas of interest to me:
Art
The castle has probably inspired thousands of artists over the years. I’m always looking out for interesting work to feature.
History
Despite the castle’s Victorian renovation and reputation for being a “modern folly”, it has a long and interesting history.
Photography
There are some truly stunning shots of the castle captured by talented professional and amateur photographers. I’m going to find and share the best examples.
Exploration
Castell Coch is nestled in beautiful Fforest Fawr and overlooks the village of Tongwynlais in Cardiff. The surrounding area has lots to offer so I’ll highlight other places of interest and activities to enjoy.
